GOT A STORY?

We're always looking for a few good story leads here at the triCityNews. If you're privy to something you think would fit well in our paper (a new up and coming band, a cool art show, artist, creative business, event or anything else interesting) please send it over. We prefer editorial requests by email but if you just can't wait to get the scoop off your chest you can give us a shout by phone at 732-897-9779. But please keep in mind that we get tons of editorial requests and can't follow up with everyone. If you don't hear back from us there's a good chance you're story idea wasn't a good fit. Or, we may have filed it away for future use. Please send all editorial requests to News@triNews.com. You never know what may or may not work so please don't hesitate to contact us.

SUBMIT YOUR EVENT FOR TRITHESE:

Feel free to send us your event; we'll take a look at it and see if it's fit to print. We prefer triThese requests by email. Please don't call it in and PLEASE don't fax it. Aside from wasting precious paper (even though we use 100% recycled paper in the office), faxes go to the back of the triThese line. Plus we have to re-type faxes and that makes us cranky. Emailed triThese events get first pickens. Follow these guidelines though:

STEP 1). Please put event name in Subject Line of email. Those who write "see attached" instead will go straight to the recycle bin.

STEP 2). Please include basic event info (that means nothing but text) in the body of your e-mail giving us the who, what, where, when and why. You can attach the info as a Word document or a pic, too. But attachment only entries go to the back of the line, and frequently get sent straight to the recycle bin.

STEP 3). Be sure to e-mail us at News@triNews.com AT LEAST 10 days before the date of your concert, play, party, art gallery opening reception, meeting, lecture, screening or smackdown. If you're sending us something the day before you're event, well, you can bet you won't see it in print.

NOTE: Please note that we don't guarantee your event will be printed. Sometimes things just don't fit or perhaps simply fall through the cracks. Also, because of the volume of triThese requests we receive each day, we can't follow up with you regarding the publishing or reciept of your event. Please do not call to see if we recieved your email or to ask if your event will be printed. You will only piss off the already cranky editor. The guy only gets four hours of sleep a night, what can we tell you?
